Black Letter Communications (BLC) has been an outstanding pro bono partner since 2019, when they began supporting the First 100 Years campaign – marking a century since the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919 which opened the doors of the legal profession to women.
From the outset, the BLC team gave not just their time, but their insight, energy and strategic counsel. Their ability to craft high-impact PR campaigns played a vital role in the success of our centenary celebrations – helping us honour the legacy of women legal pioneers, expose the barriers still holding women back, and inspire a vision for lasting change.
When we launched our successor campaign, the Next 100 Years, we knew we wanted BLC with us. They’ve helped us shape and promote major research projects, raise the profile of key events, and cement our place as a leading voice for gender equality in the legal profession.
They are proactive, responsive, and deeply attuned to both the legal sector and the structural inequalities we are working to dismantle. Their support remains invaluable – not just in what they do, but in the principled, passionate way they do it.
