Our brief was two-fold, namely: to ensure that Devonshires was achieving national profile amongst the social housing community commensurate with its client-base and heritage, while at the same time ensuring that the firm’s other specialisms were highlighted.
In 2019, BLC were brought in to ramp up PR for the First 100 Years campaign and position it as central to celebrations around the centenary of the passing of the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919.
Our role is to support the firm’s senior management team in communicating the current business strategy and driving engagement amongst its regulated community, the wider legal profession and consumers. In doing so, we have sought to position CLC as an authority on, and enabler of, a more transparent, secure, and innovative conveyancing process as well as a challenger regulator, differentiated by the value it adds to its regulated community of conveyancers and probate practitioners.

Since opening in 2012, Black Letter Communications has built an enviable track-record in drafting successful award entries, designed to make our clients’ achievements stand-out to judges. As a result, our clients have been recognised in over 20 award categories.
Our initial objective was to promote the ACL’s new name and its authorised body status and thereafter to position ACL as the voice on costs amongst solicitors, barristers, the judiciary, Costs Lawyers, and non-member costs draftsmen.
Our ‘launch’ story focused on the selective nature and exacting standards required of a First4Lawyers panel member and resulted in 67 firms being placed on a panel waiting list for assessment.
